Dr. Robert Wesley was born in rural central Virginia, the eldest child of a family physician father and English teacher mother. He attended Yale College as a Yale National Scholar, graduating with highest honors in the History of Fine Arts and later graduated from Yale Medical School. During cardiology fellowship at The University of Virginia, he received the Physician-Scientist Award from NIH and authored two biomedical patents. His legacy of public service includes serving for three years as the Co-President of the Los Angeles chapter of Physicians for Social Responsibility and completing a three year term as Governor of Nevada for The American College of Cardiology. In the last three years, Dr. Wesley has shared the Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Award twice from the University of Nevada School of Medicine and in 2012 won the Consultant of the Year Award from the Nevada State Family Medicine Association.
Dr. Wesley practices clinical electrophysiology and is simultaneously boarded in Cardiology and Holistic & Integrative Medicine. His interests include performing for charitable events, dancing salsa, and supporting artistic expression. Dr. Wesley has a long time relationship the country of Brazil and speaks Portuguese.
