Arjun Gururaj

Dr. Gururaj was raised in New York and Texas, attended Cornell University for his undergraduate studies, and attended the University of Texas for medical school.  He relocated for his postgraduate education in medicine to Boston, at which time he completed his training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology at Boston University School of Medicine.  Initially remaining on faculty at Boston University, he became Co-director for Cardiac Science Education for the School of Medicine while teaching Fellows the latest techniques in arrhythmia management.  Dr. Gururaj’s interests include General Electrophysiology which includes those patients with cardiac rhythm disturbances.  He is adept at complex ablation therapy and has special interest in heart failure and implantable defibrillator therapy for this disorder.  He is one of a few physicians in the United States that hosts a national teaching course to help other Cardiologists learn the surgical techniques of heart failure device implantation.  He also performs the latest procedures for the therapy of atrial fibrillation, a disorder that can be debilitating for many.  Dr. Gururaj is Board Certified in the disciplines of Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology.
