In becoming a physician, Dr. Shah followed in his father’s footsteps. He received his medical degree from the University of Technology UTESA in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He subsequently completed his internal medicine internship and residency at St. Vincent Hospital and Medical Center in Staten Island, NY, and received a Critical Care-Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship at St. Vincent Hospital in New York City. He was chief cardiology fellow at Rush St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, IL and received fellowship training in interventional cardiology and transplant medicine at Research Institute of Kansas in Wichita, KS. He’s practiced in Las Vegas since 1998 and not only specializes in cardiovascular medicine, but helps his patients with stroke prevention, varicose vein treatment, peripheral arterial disease, and sleep apnea.
